Work in progress. I started coloring it today on the school's MAC, but back home I noticed it looks TOO DARK on my monitor. What do you guys think? It's my monitor that needs to be fixed, or is it really dark (this meaning the MAC at school are too light?)
Could "color profile management" have something to do with this color issue, too? :/ I never learned how to use that.

Sorry for three posts in one day. This one is strictly Pokémon related. I am thinking about making a journal just for Pokémon content... so you guys will be less spammed.
Now, I found this image in a random Japanese blog site. It shows the location of Alamos Town, the city where the 10th movie takes place. I really want to know where this image is cropped from... but at least, for now, I know where Alamos is! Sorry for all those who already knew it D:
Here is the Sinnoh region map. Can you find the place where Alamos is supposed to be located at? :3
Note how the perspective is different, but you can still recognize a couple elements to exactly place the town.

I feel so depressed, art-wise. I have like a bazillion things to do, both for school and for commissions, not counting the art trades, and other stuff I owe people. But my inspiration seems to have left me. Specially when I have to plan out drawings, build anatomies, etc.
And this is just the short version of the problem.
Today, during classes in which I usually draw instead of taking notes (... yeah, I know...), I spent 3 hours just staring at the blank paper and shivering. Probably not literally, but that's how I felt like ._.
Then, I decided I couldn't keep on doing that, and decided to draw some free shapes, without caring about anatomy and all those things. This is what came out (surprisingly, it's NOT Pokémon!)
And also this, but I look like a total fag.
I have been doodling a lot of "the real me" lately. The messy looking, fat, acne devastated, hairy girl. Not the pretty sexy animu me. Yes, I have serious issues with my self esteem.
When I arrived at home, I felt the terrible urge to draw again, but didn't feel to work for school or any other owed art. So, I made these things, that ARE actually going to a person, but I consider them more like a personal thing than something for another person. I spent dunno how many hours on these. They are tiny, too, 2.5x3.5 in.
I feel kinda sad since it seems most of the real media media things I do go to other people and I never keep the originals.
  
Fnally, bad hair day -_- I seriously need a haircut. I had to stop straightening my hair a while ago because the heat of the hair straightener was literally burning it. LOL, not even my hair feels straight now. It's a conspiracy.

But earlier tonight, I and Aledon were talking about serious business, the theme being: "who would you have sex with, from _____ (insert anime title here)?" , and we were allowed to say both male and female names.
When we talked about TTGL, he said this:

No, I haven't disappeared. Cystitis + sore throat + fever = not fun ._.
I still don't feel alright, have a couple lines of fever and am shivering quite a lot but I'm surely better than yesterday.
I have things I made some days ago though; first is a Salamence, second is a Darkrai bird... thing. Reason? I was skeptical on how he (the "real" Darkrai) actually keeps his legs folded when he isn't showing them, and Aledon told me that you can't actually see a bird's legs when it's flying, so for Darkrai it's probably the same thing. So, Darkrai-birdie.
(this didn't make much sense, I know)
I also have a question for all my LJ friends/watchers.
Should I put a "Pokémon" filter in my posts? I draw a lot of Pokémon/talk much about them, and I know some people here maybe don't care about these monsters at all. So, what should I do? What do you guys do when you see Pokémon posts? Just skip them? Are annoyed by them? Actually enjoy my artwork even if it's Pokémon, regardless of the subject? Wish I would explain more things for the people who aren't actually involved in the fandom?
Please let me know, it's kind of important to me. |

Not the usual kind of things you'd expect from me uh? But uhm, this one is because everyone on pkmncollectors seems to like/collect Ladylegs Darkrai lately. The picture itself is pretty self explanatory D:
The second one is less obvious and needs an explanation.
Now, I have this middleman in Japan who gets all cool stuff for me BUT of course I can't afford everythign I want. SO, I have to choose - Giratina plush or bids on auctions site? (where there was this one single seller selling both Darkrai and Electrike stuff missing from my collection). Man it was SO hard to decide.
...in the end, Aledon offered me to lend me his money (as always, LOL) so I basically told my middleman to get everything D: |

So there was this one oekaki where I used to go to.
Everyone was kind and there was this friendly atmosphere all around. Every now and then, a new person came, but it was nothing bad or big; just a new member of the family.
Then, the place started to become more famous. People from all over the world came, many famous artists and a crapload of n00bs as well. Complete chaos, everyone uses the site as their personal drawing board. I left, but I doubt anyone actually noticed.
I miss the old times, and I wish I had the knowledge to set up my own oekaki board. I have one but everyone seems to have problems in using it...
Talking about website, is there anyone good in making websites (or know about good tutorials for the following subject)? I have always made my own websites, but they are always plain and simple, with frames and tables. I'd like to make something more like this: http://croagunk.totodile.org/ with a layout entirely made in photoshop, in which you can enter all your text and other contents.
For example, let's say I have this awesome layout done (ok, this is a joke layout, but you get the idea) - how do I input the text in the light blue box, and how do I make the different pages (links, gallery, etc) appear in the box itself?
I am sure I could make a decent layout in photoshop, but then I don't know where to start in making the html and stuff starting from it ^^; I know this sounds confusing but I'm pretty sure that, if someone of you has ever built websites, they know what I'm talking about.
(weirdly, a friend of mine has also e-mailed me today asking me for help for a site like this, too! so since both me and her want to make one, i figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here...)
If I can successfully understand how to build professional looking sites, I'll finally be able to start working on Jurassicpeace.com as a decent portfolio site, and hopefully enhance its gallery with all of my artwork, and more :3 |

On a lighter note... I think I am developing a crush on some other anime character. You're all so sick of my anime crushes, aren't you? XD well this time is kind of different, since it's a SHE (and the keenest of you have probably already guessed WHO, by now!).
Ok, no big surprise in the internet full of homosexuals and bisexuals and whatnot, but I had to share. I expect yuri fanarts now. You know what to do (and yes, shooting me in the head IS an option). |

I think this took me around 3.5 hours today. I don't really take notes during classes, as I usually doodle, but I guess this counts for more than just "doodling" XD
Other than my team and a couple of others, I wanted to add more Pokémon from the movie and play the game of "can you find them all?" but didn't have references for them (as I completely drew this off my memory, hence the garden is not accurate).
I still have to practice more for backgrounds and group pictures but hey, we must all start from somewhere! |

Colored these during Painter class earlier today.
I admit the class is quite boring, the teacher isn't really saying anything useful to TEACH us how to use brushes/effects/etc... so I'm basically coloring the usual way I do.
As I said elsewhere, these took 2 and 1 hour to color respectively. So, this explains why the details are not perfect or the backgrounds really detailed (the Jolteon also looks really flat and not three dimensional...). But I do like them anyway :D
